SBS takes The Good Fight to Australia

Scripted-logo-460_2CBS All Access drama The Good FightAustralian cultural pubcaster SBS has become the latest net to buy CBS All Access legal drama The Good Fight.

SBS plans to debut the series with a double episode on August 2 in a local 8.30pm slot, and episodes will be made available on SBS On Demand after they broadcast.

The Robert and Michelle King series, spun out of CBS drama The Good Wife, has already sold to India’s Zee, HBO Nordic and More4 in the UK among others.

It follows Christine Baranski’s character from The Good Wife, Diane Lockhart, as she settles into a new role at Chicago’s leading African American law firms.

CBS Studios International sells the show, which comes from CBS Television Studios in association with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions.

The series is notable as the first original series to launch on CBS’s SVOD offer, CBS All Access.
