CBS current chief exiting
US broadcaster CBS is losing a second senior executive in a week, with Bridget Wiley following Glenn Geller out of the door.
Wiley is the executive VP of current programmes at CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Studios, but is leaving after twelve years.
Geller hired Wiley in 2005 in a VP post. She was then promoted to senior VP in 2014, and then moved into her current post when Geller was named CBS entertainment president in September 2015.
Geller’s departure was announced earlier this week, with Kelly Kahl and The CW exec Thom Sherman drafted in to create a new top-level team.
Long-serving alternative chief Chris Castallo is also exiting, news that emerged in April. Sharon Vuong has been promoted to replace him.
CBS has not announced a replacement for Wiley at this stage.
