Lulu PruttonFormer Channel 5 and Tigress Productions exec Lulu Prutton has joined UK-based production funding and distribution company Drive.

She is taking on the role of acquisitions and sales executive after joining from New Earth Films, where she was commercial and creative manager.

Like Drive co-founder Lila Hurst, she has previously worked at UK broadcaster Channel 5.

At Drive, Prutton will focus on sourcing content for the recently launched Drive sales division, as well as working with Hurst and co-founder Ben Barrett to secure new projects that require presales and coproduction financing.

In her sales capacity, she’ll work alongside head of sales Laura Masson, focusing on the Middle East, Africa, Central Europe and the Baltic region.

Prutton began her career at BBC Bristol, and has worked at indies such as Brook Lapping and Tigress. At Channel 5, she bought shows such as Megastructures, Meerkat Manor and Britain’s Greatest Machines.

“Lulu is one of those rare breeds of people who have great creative and commercial experience, which is a massive asset in our business,” said Barrett.

“In her previous roles she’s proven she has a great sense of what works both in the UK and internationally, and we’re delighted she has chosen to bring that expertise to Drive”.
