In free TV, the series has also been sold into Russia, with TV3 snapping up the David Lynch show.
Showtime programming is distributed by CBS Studios International, which struck the Amedia and TV3 deals.
Amedia has Russian rights to HBO series as part of a five-year deal inked in 2013, and has now bagged Showtime shows as well. Twin Peaks and other programming from premium US cabler will bow on the Amediateka SVOD platform.
Other shows in the CBS deal are The Good Wife spin-off The Good Fight and Jim Carey series I’m Dying Up Here. It also covers catalogue shows Californication, The Borgias, Dexter as well as the original Twin Peaks.

“In the 90s “Twin Peaks” revolutionised television: David Lynch achieved the impossible by creating a new television drama format and found a completely different way to interact with the audience,” said Valery Fyodorovich, general director of TV3.
CBS announced other Twin Peaks deals this morning, with HBO Europe snagging the series for the CEE region. It will launch across the HBO CEE footprint from May 22, starting with a two-hour special.
In Germany, pay TV platform Sky has bought the series for its Sky Atlantic channel and Sky Go on-demand service.
