Young Pope anointed in CEE

Central and Eastern Europe paycaster SPI International / Filmbox has bought The Young Pope and other FremantleMedia International-sold drams.

The deal includes Apple Tree Yard and Modus, and covers CEE, Russia and the CIS region.

“The Young Pope has been the topic of much excitement with global audiences. We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary series to Filmbox viewers across our territories,” said Berk Uziyel, executive director at SPI International / Filmbox.

The Young Pope stars Jude Law as the first American pope as was for Sky and Canal+, while Apple Tree Yard is a BBC One drama focusing on an affair that gets out of control. Modus is a Swedish detective show for TV4.
