TCB adds to sales team

TCB Media Rights has hired Simona Argenti and she will cover Italy, Spain, Latin America and Canada and other territories for the independent distributor.

She joins TCB from BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the UK pubcaster, where she was sales manager.

Representation of Italy at TCB will transition from Italian agent and former Mediaset executive Daniela Bagliani of Full Board Media.

“TCB has always favoured hiring emerging hot shots to blend with our experienced team; their hunger, enthusiasm and ideas contribute real dynamism,” said Paul Heaney, CEO of TCB Media Rights.

He added: “Simona has all of these traits and has the advantage of her outstanding track record at BBCWW. Italy has been a spectacularly successful market for TCB, and Daniela and Mauro [Fabbricotti] at Full Board have done a great job.”

Argenti joins TCB ahead of MIPTV. Its new shows for the market include 60-minute doc Diana and the Paparazzi from TVT Productions, Royal Murder Mysteries from Like A Shot and Channel 5 UK commissions Secrets of Historic Britain (aka Secrets of the National Trust) (6 x 60 mins) from Spun Gold/GME.
