ITV poaches US scripted exec from Endemol Shine
The US drama division of ITV Studios has hired Dwayne Shattuck as its executive VP, production.
Shattuck joins the ITV team from Endemol Shine Studios, where he was senior VP.
He will report to Philippe Maigret, the former Endemol Studios boss who runs ITV Studios America.
The new recruit will oversee production of the division’s drama projects. Prior to his stint at Endemol Shine Studios, Shattuck was an indie producer, and his credits AMC drama Mad Men and Magic City for Starz.
“As we build out our US scripted TV business, it is critical to have the right production infrastructure in place,” said Maigret. “I am thrilled that Dwayne, an industry veteran with tremendous experience and relationships, is joining the ITV Studios America management team.”
The appointment comes soon after ITV moved ITV Studios America president of scripted and business development Julie Meldal-Johnson to London to become ITV Studios Global Entertainment’s director of global content.
Shattuck said: “After talking with Philippe about his plans for ITV Studios America and learning of the support from ITV’s global leadership, I couldn’t imagine not joining the incredible team in building the next great scripted television studio.”
ITV Studios America has previously made network drama Aquarius, and its slate includes Hallmark series The Good Witch. Shows in development at the main group or third-party producers it works with include a TV version of the Korean movie Snowpiercer and a US remake of ITV series The Street.
Outlining his ambitions for the US drama division, Maigret recently told TBI there are also active projects at AMC, WGN, Spike, Bravo, E! and Hulu, and four projects developed through pod deals thta have been sold to broadcast nets for upcoming TV season.
