Dynamic hires programming VP from ZDF
US-European producer Dynamic Television has hired Tasja Abel from German pubcaster ZDF.
Abel will be vice president, acquisitions, sales and coproductions at Dynamic.
She joins from ZDF Enterprises, the commercial arm of the German broadcaster, where she worked in various roles covering distribution, buying and development.
Her exec producer credits include Nordic noir hits Arne Dahl and The Bridge, which ZDF coproduced.
Dynamic’s distribution slate includes Icelandic drama Trapped, Hulu’s East Los High and BET’s Mandela biopic Madiba.
At Dynamic, she will be based in Berlin and report to company managing partner Klaus Zimmermann.
“Her extensive experience in drama and her vast network of relationships will be a great asset for Dynamic Television’s next phase of growth,” he said.
“Tasja not only brings an impressive track record in coproduction and sales, but she is the embodiment of Dynamic’s core values of transparency, integrity, and collaboration,” added Daniel March, the company’s other managing partner.
