NATPE: organisation reaches out to the Next Gen

US trade body NATPE said yesterday it will launch a new initiative to help younger TV execs as they progress through the industry.

“We’re launching NATPE Next Gen, which will be a membership programme that will empower the next generation of executives,” he said.

“We will give them the network and tools to navigate through the industry… we will all probably be working for these executives one day.”

Precise details of who qualified for the Next Gen scheme were not forthcoming, and the organisation told TBI that Bommel’s announcement was as much as was being announced thus far, but the not-for-profit body is clearly keen to appeal to up and coming, as well as established, professionals in TV firms.
