Humans producer joins Featherstone prodco
Humans producer Chris Fry is leaving Kudos to reunite with former boss Jane Featherstone at Sister Pictures.
Fry has been appointed executive producer at Sister, which Featherstone established earlier this year.
At Kudos, Fry produced AMC-Channel 4 sci-fi drama Humans, which gave the UK broadcaster its best original drama ratings in 20 years. He also worked on the final three seasons of Spooks, and BBC One’s Mayday and Sky 1’s The Smoke.
At Sister, he will work alongside Featherstone on the prodco’s slate when he joins later this year. His hire follows those of Daniel Isaacs and Naomi de Pear, as COO and executive producer respectively, both of whom were also senior Kudos staffers.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be reuniting with Jane at Sister Pictures,” said Fry. “To work alongside her and the rest of the team at Sister, developing and producing ambitious, bold and distinctive new drama, is extremely exciting.”
Featherstone said she was “chuffed to bits we are going to be collaborating again to make more great drama”.
She had left Kudos after its parent company, Shine Group, merged with Endemol and Core Media Group to form the Endemol Shine Group.
Diederick Santer is now CEO of Kudos.
