Breakthrough brings in kids veteran for sales
Breakthrough has recruited Caroline Tyre and the seasoned Canadia kids TV exec for a new sales and acquisitions role.
At the Canadian producer and distributor she be senior director, covering sales and acquisitions across Europe and parts of Asia.
Tyre will report to Craig McGillivray, vice president, distribution, who rejoined Breakthrough last year.
He said: “We are confident that Caroline’s strengths will augment our team as we continue to forge new relationships and seek out ground breaking content that is emerging worldwide.”
The new recruit has worked at Entertainment One, DHX, the CBC and Teletoon. Most recently she was consulting for Masha and the Bear producer Animaccord.
She said: “As Breakthrough continues to expand – I am thrilled to be given the chance to bring my experience and industry knowledge to help bolster our company’s growth initiatives worldwide.”
In terms of acquisitions, Breakthrough recently picked up South African animated series Silly Seasons.
