Endemol Shine, Celestial taking a BROcation
Lionsgate and Saban-backed channel operator Celestial Tiger has ordered its second original series, a structured reality series from Endemol Shine Group.
The Ultimate BROcation will go out on CTE’s Kix channel. Set in Hong Kong, it will follow the adventures of four celebrities from four different Southeast Asian countries as they revel in a five-day, all-expenses paid vacation, that will be, the producers say, ‘tailor made for bros’.
The reality show will follow the bros as they party, meet girls, and live the high-life in luxury hotels. Casting is underway in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong, for well-known male celebrities, with production slated for October.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board is part-funding the show.
“If you have ever wondered what it is like to walk in the shoes of a male star, The Ultimate BROcation will be your guide,” said said Andy Chang, senior VP of advertising sales, marketing and original productions, CTE.
“We will follow our fearsome foursome as they go about their adventures in Hong Kong, showcasing the city as the ultimate guy’s playground. But this show will go beyond a travelogue, and be rooted in our celebrities; their personalities and humour and the bonds they build during this epic vacation.”
