Disney cooks up Chefs – Family Style

The UK and Ireland Disney Channel is prepping First Class Chefs – Family Style, a digital spin-off of its popular cooking competition series for kids, First Class Chefs.

The new series, which like the original comes from Jamie Oliver prodco Fresh One, will go out on Disney’s YouTube channel as well as DisneyLife and other Disney-branded services.

It will run to 10x5mins and brings a family cooking element to the format. Two family teams compete against each other in the new show, with a limited budget to make healthy and tasty meals. The show rolls out in the autumn.

David Levine, the general manager of Disney Channels UK & Ireland, announced the new show at the CMC conference in Sheffield yesterday, during the commercial commissioners session run by TBI.

The original First Class Chefs launched on Disney Channel in the UK and Ireland last year.
