Amazon brings Roadies to UK
Amazon Prime Video has bought rock and roll drama Roadies for its UK feed.
The Warner Bros.- and Bad Robot Television-produced drama, from director Cameron Crowe, will air in the UK through episodes added on a weekly basis. Each one debuts a day after its US airing on premium cable channel Showtime.

Roadies is a comedy drama about the road crew helping a band on a multi-city tour.
In the UK, pay TV channel Sky Atlantic has exclusive rights to Showtime content, though this only covers shows owned by the network’s parent, CBS. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution sells Roadies.
For Amazon UK, the series will sit alongside other new season acquisitions such as The Girlfriend Experience and Preacher.
“Joining shows like The Man in the High Castle, Transparent, Mr. Robot, Preacher and the upcoming Clarkson, Hammond and May show, The Grand Tour, Roadies is a great addition to our line-up and we’re sure that Prime customers are going to love it,” said Amazon’s VP of worldwide television acquisitions, Brad Beale.
