Tricon, Lupus, Disney go for My Big Red Head

Canada’s Tricon and Lupus from the UK are lining up My Big Red Head, a new toon series for Disney XD.

Several of the team behind Cartoon Network original The Amazing Adventures of Gumball are on board, with James Lamont and Jon Foster writing, and Miklos Weigert directing.

The CGI-animated toon will target 8-12s and follow the Mayhems, an outwardly normal family who are actually half-human, half-monster hybrids.

Tricon will handle international sales if the series gets a full green light.

Currently Disney XD have put it into development and will be a coproduction partner if its gets the full go ahead.
