She will be president of the New York based Nippon division, which sends US news back to Japan and provides production expertise for Japanese-themed programming being made in the US.
Nippon said that Hatayama will aim to strengthening Nippon’s international relationships and build new international partnerships.
He has been with Nippon since 1984, initially as a news reporter.
