Discovery deals light up Flame Distribution

Australia-based Flame Distribution has shopped 4K film Ancient Angkor to Discovery in Canada, and Railroad Australia to Discovery Asia.

Ancient Angkor will go out on the Discovery Channel in Canada. The 1x60mins film about the ancient Cambodian city is produced by Al Caudullo Productions.

Railroad Australia hails from Australian indie Prospero, which also made Outback Truckers, and looks at the country’s railway system over eight episodes.

Flame also said it has sold Restoration Garage to Australian digital channel 7Mate, and a package including Saturday Kitchen and Summer Baking Secrets to Foxtel, for the Australian pay TV firm’s Food Channel.

Foxtel also acquired several shows for its History Channel including the BBC’s Highwaymen, Pirates & Rogues and A&E’s Tony Robinsons Walking Through History.
