Tern International chief exits
Mariam Zamaray has left channel operator Tern (Television Entertainment Reality Network) by mutual consent.
Zamaray has been at UHD channel operator Tern for 18 months and will be replaced, on an interim basis, by Rian Bester, company COO.
Tern told TBI it is looking for a new full-time CEO and it operation and expansion activities will continue.
Tern confirmed Zamaray’s departure and the board issued the following statement. “Mariam established Tern and its unique position with one of the first UHD channels available in the world today, with her unparalleled creativity, passion and drive. We thank her for all her hard work and wish her all the best with her future activities.”
Zamaray, meanwhile, said: “It was an exceptional challenge. I was given a lot of support and opportunities within this company, but now that Tern is active and expanding, it’s time for me to look for new challenges.”
Tern has launched channels in various parts of Europe in recent times and has talked about rolling out services in Africa.
