‘Cutting edge’ DC-based indie prodco launches
A new development and production company based in Washington, D.C., is aiming to create shows “inspired by the lesser known but most surprising events and people that shape today’s world”.
Naim Media Group will develop a slate of scripted and unscripted series, films, documentaries and news formats that tap into the Washington political system.
The company claimed it “benefits from privileged access to key sources, major protagonists, and unique intelligence related to dramatic current and historical events”.
“Carefully sourced first-hand materials serve as the basis for NMG’s unique catalogue which is comprised of content that spans genres and includes both fiction and non-fiction series, films, documentaries and news formats,” the company said.
“At NMG, we have created a unique combination which we believe gives us an interesting competitive advantage,’ said NMG CEO Andres Naim. “We blend our insider access to incredible and factual stories with the unique talent of our writers and producers to intertwine these true events with fictional narratives that humanise them and makes the stories more alluring and accessible to global audiences.”
Details of a slate of “pioneering” series will follow in coming months.
