Abraham will oversee sales and oversee the growth of the distribution division, Portfolio said, as well as acquiring third-party kids, factual and lifestyle programming for the catalogue.
He joins the Toronto-based firm from toy company Zuru, where he was the Hong Kong-based sales and marketing manager. Before that he was at trade publication KidScreen and producer and distributor 9 Story.
The hire follows that of Jennifer Bragg as director of factual and lifestyle development late last year.
Portfolio expanded from kids into factual and lifestyle in recent times.
