Shalgosky leaves Keshet for All3Media’s Lion
Simon Shalgosky has left the UK production arm of Keshet and joined All3Media-owned prodco Lion Television, TBI has learned.
Shalgosky took the head of development role at Keshet Productions UK at the start of the year, joining from ITV Studios-owned factual prodco Shiver.
He left the UK content arm of Israeli broadcaster Keshet at the end of October, and has now started at Lion.
Lion confirmed Shalgosky has joined its ranks. Speaking about the hire, managing director Richard Bradley said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon Shalgosky as our new head of entertainment development as we invest in and grow Lion’s entertainment team.
“Simon has over a decade’s experience of development. In that time he has built up an enviable track record for creating entertainment and fact ent formats which have sold both domestically and internationally.”
At Shiver Shalgosky’s credits included Britain’s Best Dish and Come Date with Me, and at Keshet dating format When Do You Get Off?, for the ITVbe digital channel.
Lion is a major producer of factual and fact-ent shows, and its credits include Homes Under the Hammer, Britain From Above and popular kids series Horrible Histories.
Bradley said that Shalgosky’s hire comes as the prodco looks to invest more in entertainment programming.
