UKTV buys RTÉ factual series

UK multichannel operator UKTV has acquired a pair of factual series from Irish distributor RTÉ Global.

The Scripps Networks Interactive- and BBC Worldwide-owned channels group has bought 3x52mins The High Hopes Choir and 13x30mins Rachel Allen’s Coastal Cooking from RTÉ’s programme sales arm.

High Hopes Choir aired on RTÉ One in December last year, and a follow-up documentary has been commissioned, while UKTV plans to play Rache Allen’s Coastal Cooking on its Good Food network.
