Blue Ant rejigs management team
Canada’s Blue Ant Media has made a series of managerial switches and hires to “align” its top team with “the demands” of expanding its business.
A key change sees marketing and communications executive VP Jamie Schouela named EVP, Canadian Networks. He will leading strategy of Blue Ant’s domestic networks and digital content strategy, and continue to oversee relationships with cable, IPTV and satellite partners.
Programming chief Vanessa Case adds Blue Ant’s new craft enthusiast brand Makeful to her portfolio of duties, while Marcia Martin is now senior VP, original content, Love Nature, focusing on wildlife and nature content.
SVP, digital publishing and business development Simon Foster becomes SVP, corporate development, a role that will see him looking at merger and acquisitions targets. Foster oversaw Blue Ant’s acquisition of YouTube MCN Omnia Media.
Sam Linton is promoted to VP, production, with Jesse Dallal and Laura Pearce also taking on new roles at that level at the privately-owned broadcast and production group.
“Blue Ant Media is a fast-growing media company, these role changes and new leadership additions align our team with the demands of our continued growth, in Canada and internationally,” said Raja Khanna (pictured), CEO, television and digital, Blue Ant.
The changes come as Blue Ant partners with adRise to launch OTT service Tubi TV in Canada.
