ABC shuts Wicked City doors
ABC’s serial killer drama Wicked City has become the first casualty of the new US broadcast season.
The anthology drama has run to just three episodes, all of which have rated very poorly.
Production through to episode eight is scheduled, though whether these programmes will go to air is unclear, with the show hooked from the Alphabet Network’s schedule.
Wicked City stars Ed Westwick and Erika Christensen as a couple terrorising young women on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip in the 1980s.
The 0.4 rating the third episode took was a low among the major US broadcasters (excluding The CW).
ABC Studios coproduced the series with Mandeville Television.
