News brief: MarVista attains Osiris movie library

LA’s Marvista Entertainment has acquired international distribution rights to Osiris Entertainment’s 66-title movie library.

Key titles in the deal include the Michael Madsen vehicle Along the Roadside, emotional drama The Kill Hole (pictured), horror The Lake on Clinton Road and comedy Hollywood Trash.

“Buyer demand for movies across all genres continues to grow around the world, especially with the continued proliferation of digital and SVOD platforms,” said Vanessa Shapiro, executive VP, distribution, MarVista.

“This demand has led to an increase in our own production of original films, in addition to adding quality movies from other companies, and the diverse offerings in Osiris Entertainment catalog complement our own titles very well.
