Scripps ups int’l CFO to new post

Scripps Networks Interactive has promoted international chief financial officer Simone Nardi to a new post.

Simone NardiHe will now be managing director, finance and operations for Scripps Networks International, the worldwide arm of the US cable channels group.

Based out of New York, he will continue to report to SNI’s international president, Jim Samples.

Nardi (pictured) joined Scripps from NBCUniversal in 2013, having been senior VP an CFO of the US studio’s international channels and television production operations. Before that he worked at NBCU’s New York-based business development division and briefly served as interim CFO of broadcaster-backed on-demand service Hulu.

Hi new post will cover finance, programme licensing, and content and brand strategy.

He will also work closely with Scripps’ new Polish broadcaster, TVN, and will sit on the board of directors of the firm’s British joint venture channels group UKTV. He will also now oversee SNI’s co-venture relationship with Shaw Communications in Canada.
