Henson poaches Lionsgate exec for sales
The Jim Henson Company has recruited Anna Moorefield as director, global distribution.
Moorefield joins from independent film and TV studio Lionsgate Entertainment and will be in place at Henson ahead of MIPCOM next month.
The company will have a trio of new properties for the market and launch Dot., a new property hailing from Mark Zuckerberg’s sister Randi, preschool show Word Party, which was commissioned by Netflix, and marine species series Splash!.
Moorefield will report to Richard Goldsmith, The Jim Henson Company’s executive VP of global distribution. He said: “With a first-class professional background, Anna will be a tremendous asset to our team as we head to MIP Jr. to debut three new series.”
At Lionsgate, Moorefield was manager, international TV and digital distribution. Prior to holding that role, she was in the studio’s digital distribution department.
