Donald Trump buys NBC’s stake in Miss Universe
Controversial business mogul Donald Trump has acquired US broadcast network NBC’s stake in the Miss Universe Organization following the former partners’ spat this summer.
Trump tweeted news of the deal, which US media trades then collaborated with NBC.
Just purchased NBC’s half of The Miss Universe Organization and settled all lawsuits against them. Now own 100% — stay tuned!

Trump’s camp could not be reached for comment this morning, but he had previously owned 50% of the operation.
NBC severed ties with US presidential hopeful Trump, who’s best known in TV circles as the host of NBC’s competition series The Apprentice, after he made disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants.
Trump had already said he would not return for the latest season of The Celebrity Apprentice.
Miss Universe is an annual beauty pageant that has run since 1952. NBC and Trump had run the organisation together since 2002.
