Kids SVOD platform secures BBCWW, HIT deals
Digital preschool service OobEdoO has added shows from BBC Worldwide and HIT Entertainment to its line-up.
From the BBC’s commercial arm comes season four of Balamory and season three of Charlie and Lola, while HIT is providing two 50-minute specials and six episodes of Barney & Friends.
OobEdoO already offers programming from Bob the Builder, Pingu, Timmy Time, In the Night Garden, Humf, Tractor Tom and Teletubbies, and new episodes of Fireman Sam, Angelina Ballerina and Thomas & Friends.
The new shows will launch on the platform, which comes from Bin Weevils co-founder Myke Crosby and operates in the UK, next month.
Furthermore, each show will have a specially-developed game accompanying it on the SVOD service.
“We are absolutely delighted to launch these three entertaining new shows on OobEdoO,” said Crosby. “They are all ground breaking in their own way, and fit in with OobEdoO’s ethos by showcasing many essential developmental skills for pre-schoolers.”
OobEdoO works to an ‘education through entertainment’ model that is predicated on a subscription fee of £3.99 a month.
