News brief: Asian launch for Lagardère’s Mezzo

Lagardère Active’s classical music channel Mezzo Live HD will launch in the Philippines after securing carriage on the SkyCable and its affiliate Destiny Cable platforms in the country.

The channel is distributed in Asia by Lightning International, which struck the Filipino deal, the first for the channel in the country. Earlier this year it launched in Indonesia.

Mezzo is programmed with classical music and jazz performances as well as opera and dance.
