NBCU Int’l Studios moves Coan to UK
NBCuniversal International Studios has promoted Tom Coan to senior VP and will relocate the LA executive to London.
Coan (pictured) was most recently VP, scripted programming for the global NBCU production arm, but will now work on strengthening scripted from the Comcast Communications-owned firm’s London base.
He will continue to report to executive VP, scripted programming JoAnn Alfano, and work across development and production of scripted shows from the NBCUI Studios prodcos such as Carnival Films, Lucky Giant and Working Title TV. He will also work closely with Keston International Productions and Tom Hardy’s Hardy Son & Baker.
“Tom has excellent relationships with producers, writers and broadcasters in the UK and Europe,” said Alfano. “His knowledge and experience in this growing business will undoubtedly add to our success in the future.”
Coan is a former Fox21 and DreamWorks Television executive. “To be working at a company so well positioned within the ever more relevant international TV business is incredibly thrilling and I am pleased to be taking on a larger role,” added Coan.
