Sony’s Pop buys Splash’s Sabrina
Sony’s UK free-to-air kids channel Pop has acquired Sabrina: Secrets Of A Teenage Witch from Splash Entertainment.
Sony Pictures Television bought Pop last year as part of a deal for the CSC Media Group. The ad-supported channel is carried on free-to-air digital platforms in the UK.
Sabrina will be added to its programming grid from this week.
Mevelyn Noriega, president of distribution at Splash Entertainment struck the deal with Pop for the 26x26mins toon series, which is voiced by former Disney star Ashley Tisdale.
“Pop’s target audience is 4 to 9 year old girls and boys, which is the perfect home for Sabrina. We look forward to spreading the magic of Sabrina: Secrets Of A Teenage Witch throughout the United Kingdom thanks to our partnership with Pop,” she said.
