France 2 to remake UK home format
France 2 has commissioned a local version of Fill Your House For Free, a British interior design format.
The show was among UK broadcaster Channel 4’s top five rated lifestyle shows in 2013, and now makes its international debut.
BBC Worldwide France will produce the show, which will be known locally as Atelier Deco and feature local interior designer Aurélie Hémar, known for real-estate makeover series Maison à Vendre (House for Sale) and Ma Maison est la plus Originale (My House is the Most Original).
Fill Your House For Free, a Raise the Roof Productions show, sees families whose homes are in need of a sprucing have their house made over for a small amount of cash.
Atelier Deco debuts September on Saturday afternoons, airing two episodes back to back.
The commission came as part of France 2’s latest programming line-up, which also includes a local version of Broadcast titled Malaterra, a new show from host Nagui titled PopShow and a drama, 10%.
