Family Jr. adds to pre-launch line-up
Soon-to-launch Canadian kids channel Family Jr. has added another series to its line-up.
The DHX Media-owned channel last week added the new version of Teletubbies to its fall launch slate, and will now get another Anne Wood-created show, the 50x11mins stop-motion preschooler Twirlywoos.
DHX acquired the commercial rights to Wood’s UK indie Ragdoll Productions in 2013, and has been exploiting its IP for the launch of its new kids networks.
Family Jr. soon replaces Disney Junior in Canada after DHX bought Bell Media’s Disney-branded children’s channels.
