Mystery thriller eyes Stay on ABC Family
US cable channel ABC Family has greenlit the pilot of thriller about a widowed police officer stranded at a mysterious hotel.
Stay makes up part of ABC Family’s plan to double its original programming over the next four years, and joins previously-announced drama pilots Gorgeous Morons and Beyond on the slate.
Stay is billed as an “edge-of-your-seat thriller” and an “emotionally powerful story about a fractured family that comes back together under the most unexpected of circumstances”.
The plot will see the officer and his two daughters searching to unlock the mysteries of the foreboding hotel they are stranded at in order to escape.
Spenser Cohen writes and executive produces, with Jon Turtelatub (National Trasure) directing the pilot and executive producing along with Anna Halberg.
