PactUS makes first hire
The New US arm of UK indies body Pact has hired Matt Gould has its executive VP.
The hire is the first PactUS has made since David Lyle was revealed as president of the body last month.
Gould was most recently executive VP at UK indie Zig Zag Productions, where he worked with US broadcasters such as Syfy, National Geographic Channel, A&E and Nickelodeon among others.
His work in the US includes production on Travel Channel’s Man Vs. Food, Discovery Channel’s American Chopper and truTV’s Storage Hunters.
He will oversee PactUS’s operations on the East Coast, while working with Lyle on strengthening the company and generating awareness about Pact’s work.
“I am delighted Matt has come to join PactUS as we engage with the TV production community across the country,” said Lyle. “His creative drive and development expertise mean he talks to content creators in their own language and understands their issues. He knows the contemporary NY scene intimately and knows how it can fit into the world market.”
“As our area of the media business enters a phase of tremendous change over the next few years, I am especially excited to be part of PactUS’s role in helping the entire community look over the horizon to discover new opportunities for content creation and exploitation,” added Gould.
PactUS was launched in May. Pact CEO John McVay decided to create the company after identifying the growing links between the UK and US indie production communities.
