Gaumont, FremantleMedia set for Monte Carlo event

Christophe Riandee, the vice-CEO of French studio Gaumont, and Jens Richter, the boss of FremantleMedia International, will speak at the Content & Multiscreen Experience, a new industry event that is part of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival (pictured).

Vance Van Petten, the boss of the Producers Guild of America, is also confirmed, as are speakers from Channel 4 in the UK, France Télévisions and Newen Distribution.

There will, organisers said, be sessions on the evolution of content delivery, next-generation rights deals and disruptive viewing.

“The agenda has been expertly curated to address all aspects of content creation and distribution on digital platforms, alongside consumer trends and opportunities emerging for producers, broadcasters, digital media executives and technology innovators on a global scale,” said Laurent Puons, CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

He added: “For 55 years the festival has celebrated the best in international TV programming, and we look forward to offering those who are shaping the future of content distribution an unrivalled opportunity to share essential, focused insight into this constantly evolving market.”
