Dynamic makes content and sales hire

Holly-HInes-Headshot-2-1Dynamic Television has hired Holly Hines for a new role at the company, senior VP, content.

Dynamic – Dan March and Klaus Zimmermann’s production and distribution business – was formed 18 months ago and recently shopped Icelandic drama Trapped to the BBC in the UK. It also distributes Syfy series Z Nation.

Hines will be based in LA and develop, acquire and sell drama series with a focus on the major English-speaking markets of the US, UK, Canada and Australia.

She will also work in a production capacity on the shows Dynamic makes itself.

Hines joins Dynamic from US cable net Pivot, where she was senior VP, scripted programming, working on series including Fortitude.

Prior to that she was vice president, scripted development, at FremantleMedia North America. She has also worked at cable nets including Fuse and TLC.

At Dynamic, she will report to Dan March. He said: “[Holly] is one of the few television executives who understands and operates in the independent production model, which will enable Dynamic to pursue more co-production opportunities and accelerate our original content initiatives.”

“In a short amount of time, Dynamic Television has brought an exciting slate of scripted drama to the global marketplace,” added Hines. “Their strong distribution infrastructure, talent-friendly approach, and reputation with global broadcasters attracted me to this position.”
