Hulu boards The Last Ship
US streaming service has acquired rights to TNT end-of-days drama The Last Ship.
Under terms of a deal with Turner Broadcasting System, Hulu gets exclusive local streaming rights to the show, which was recently handed a second season by its commissioning broadcaster.
The show comes from Platinum Dunes, with action director Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form among its executive producers and Without a Trace creator Hank Steinberg as showrunner.
It follows the crew of a Navy destroyer travelling the world to find a cure after a global virus devastates the planet.
Season two debuts on TNT on June 21, though season one immediately joins Hulu’s line-up.
International deals for the show includes sales to Sky in the UK and Asia’s WarnerTV.
