eOne nurtures Creature with first-look
Entertainment One has secured a first-look deal with unscripted specialist Creature Films, which veteran producers Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez run.
The deal sees Ford and Lopez work with eOne to develop and produce unscripted programming, which eOne will then sell internationally.
“We have strategically built out eOne Television’s alternative programming business in a way that supports our partners and serves as a creative home for top producers to innovate, and we are proud to forge this partnership with Creature Films,” said Tara Long, senior VP of US alternative programming, eOne Television.
Creature’s programming includes MTV’s Laguna Beach and Taking the Stage, VH1’s Behind the Music and Bravo’s Kandi Factory and upcoming There Goes the Motherhood.
eOne has first-look agree with a number of other unscripted programmers such as Kevin Healey (Scare Tactics), who is developing reality prank show Fameless for TruTV through his pact, and Riaz Patel (How Do I Look?).
eOne launched its alternative programming unit in 2012.
