M6 cuts hairdressing format deal
French free-to-air broadcaster M6 has ordered a local version of Armoza-distributed hairdressing format The Final Cut Down.
The show came out of the Czech Republic where it is on TV Barrandov, and has run to 130 episodes on Star TV in Turkey.
Stripped through the week, the show sees five hairdressers compete against the clock to give members of the public a new look. Each week sees the show travel to a different city and the winner gets a €1,000 (US$1,100) cash prize.
Banijay France will make the M6 version of the show, which will go out in the broadcaster’s daytime schedule starting April 6.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said: “We brought The Final Cut Down to the market to answer the need for daily stripped formats, and we see this show as a colourful and fun solution that also focuses on the important day-time female target audience.”
