Hulu plays Home and Away
US streaming service Hulu has acquired on-demand rights to Australian soap Home and Away.
Now in its 28th year, the Seven Productions show has gone to the US broadcaster-backed platform via distributor Endemol Shine International.
The show became available on the platform earlier this month after ESI executive VP, sales and acquisitions Matt Creasey negotiated an agreement with Hulu’s VP, Lisa Holme.
Eleven episodes were made available initially, with one per weekday now being added.
Home and Away has run on Seven Network in Australia since January 1988 and remains a ratings winner. It follows the lives of resident in a small coastal town in New South Wales, Summer Bay.
