News brief: E! takes a Tricon series for a spin

US cable net E! has ordered Spun Out, a reality series looking at the world of spinning.

Set in the Cycle House, LA’s premiere spin destination, the 6x30mins series will be produced by Canada-based Tricon Films & Television.

It will follow three spin instructors as well as the management of the spin studio and the up and coming spin trainers.

Spun Out will debut on E!, which is part of the NBCUniversal stable of cable nets, in May.

Tricon has a fully-fledged distribution operation, but NBCUniversal is expected to sell the series internationally.
