News brief: Hulu takes SVOD Wiggles rights

Hulu has taken exclusive rights to live-action kids series The Wiggles.

The US streaming and catch-up service will exclusively launch Ready Steady Wiggle series two in the US as well as 104 earlier episodes of the series, which is distributed by Australia’s ABC Commercial.

The Wiggles managing director, Paul Field, said: “The Wiggles have spent the last year entertaining children around the globe with their TV series Ready, Steady, Wiggle, tours of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai and four new releases on CD and DVD! Anthony (Blue), Simon (Red), Emma (Yellow) and Lachy (Purple) have really taken off.”
