Secret Wings takes flight with Blonde Pilot, Mondo
Mondo TV is making an animated series based on the popular Secret Wings greeting card series.
It will team with the design company behind the girl-skewed property, Blonde Pilot, to make the series.
The pair will develop and produce a 26-part cartoon series that will be pitched to buyers at MIPTV in April. The series is slated to be ready for broadcast by autumn 2016.
Secret Wings will target girls 3-to-10. The series will be based on a series of connected islands where each of the Secret Wings pollen princesses has to help keep the world’s balance in harmony.
The Secret Wings brand has launched in territories including the UK, South Africa, Brazil, Russia and the Philippines, but this is the first time it has had an TV series.
Matteo Corradi, CEO of Italian-listed producer and distributor Mondo said: “The great expertise of Blonde Pilot in the development of the merchandising on their original characters, combined with our distribution capacity will make Secret Wings a big success.”
