News brief: Beyond lays Pati’s Mexican Table

Beyond Distribution has acquired Pati’s Mexican Table, a cooking series from American public television.

The show comes from Follow Productions, and follows ex-Latin American policy analyst-turned-chef and food writer Pati Jinich as she reveals secrets of Mexican cookery and culinary conditions.

“The marketplace has plenty of room for another female chef and Pati is fabulous talent,” said Sherry Fynbo, senior VP of sales, Americas at Beyond Distribution, which is based in the UK. “We wanted something ethnically diverse and Mexican food is fascinating and delicious.”
