Starz, Amblin investigate The Disappearance

US premium cabler Starz and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television is developing a drama series about a family whose son may hide a dark secret.

The Disappearance will follow a wife whose joy at her kidnapped son returning to the family after seven years in captivity is cut short after a series of horrific local murders follow.

It comes from Nick Antosca (Hannibal, Believe, Teen Wolf), who will executive produce alongside Amblin co-presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey (The Americans, Under the Dome).
