Zodiak poaches strategy boss from NBCU
Zodiak Media has recruited Natasha Mitchell as is vice president of group strategy.
She joins from NBCUniversal, and will work on the super-indie’s corporate strategy.
Prior to NBCU, Mitchell was in charge of corporate strategy at FremantleMedia, having joined the producer and distributor from Deloitte.
At Zodiak, she will be responsible for developing the group’s corporate strategy, identifying opportunities for performance improvement and organic growth.
Mitchell will report to CEO Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, who took the helm at Zodiak late last year.
The latter has ushered in a raft of executive changes, most recently Edouard Duprey as its first-ever chief creative officer. He has also introduced an International Development Board to better identify hit formats from within the group’s prodcos, with Joel Karsberg and former Endemol exec Grant Ross overseeing the initiative.
Speaking about Mitchell’s hire, the Zodiak chief said: “I am delighted that Natasha is joining Zodiak Media at a time when our position as Europe’s largest independent production company and our global footprint gives us significant opportunities for further growth.”
d’Halluin recently outlined his vision for Zodiak in an exclusive TBI interview.
