Euro, Canuck nets Learn to Draw Minis
A pair of Canadian networks and three European channels have acquired an animated interstitial property from Norwegian kids TV company Earthtree Media.
TV Ontario and Knowledge Network in Canada, PopTV in the UK, NRK in Norway and SVT in Sweden have all bought Learn to Draw Minis, a 104x1mins show featuring animated versions of cartoon drawings from from Earthtree boss Øistein Kristiansen.
The show was fast-tracked in production earlier this year.
Furthermore, Earthtree’s first live-action shows Learn to Draw and Box Yourself will broadcast on KBS in Korea, Al Jazeera’s JCCTV and the Sun TV Networks in India.
Illustrator and artist Kristiansen (pictured) launched Earthtree in Singapore in 1993 before moving back to his homeland, Norway in 2008. Earthtree made its MIPTV debut this year.
