Travel Channel takes Balkan bike ride

Scripps Networks International UK & EMEA has commissioned the latest instalment of its World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides franchise.

The new 5x60mins commission, World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides – Balkans, will go out on Travel Channel in Q1 2015 across all UK and EMEA feeds.

This will be the thirteenth time former war cameraman Henry Cole has fronted a show from the franchise.

SNI said the new show would have a “new look” with fresh graphics and an “exciting contemporary feel.

“With a fresh new look and Henry Cole at the core, we are sure that our new commission will entertain viewers, as Henry sets off on a new adventure to discover and explore this stunning and important region,” added Gareth Williams, SNI UK & EMEA’s VP, commissioning.

The franchise launched in 2006. SNI’s senior VP, content and marketing Nick Thorogood commissioned this latest version along with Williams.
